The 23rd of July 2021 marked the 30th annual INCITE Awards, a night of celebration and recognition of the incredible tech achievements made by West Australians in the past 12 months.

For the past 29 years (sans 2020), The INCITE Awards have traditionally been a sit-down awards night, but with big milestones comes big responsibility - so we helped flip the event on its head creating INCITE’s very first stand-up cocktail awards night.

Known Associates were proud event sponsors of this year’s awards - with Tam swapping her headset for the lectern as she announced the Startup of the Year Award #multitask.

The Rundown:

With touches of black, gold and orange, we transformed The Westin’s Grand Ballroom into a fluid event space of epic proportions. With lush furniture, unique florals and a stage glistening with light up letters, the scene was set for WA tech’s night of nights.

As guests familiarised themselves with their surroundings, glasses clinked with fine West Australian wines whilst aromas encircled the room with items such as torched scallops, brik pastries and Atlantic cod.

Formalities began with Nick Abraham welcoming all to Noongar country, followed by Lisa Smith and Charlie Gunningham, the night’s MCs, officially commencing the award announcements.

Between the cheers and celebrations, guests were able to mingle with new and old friends, immersing themselves in the five pop-up activations - including VR experiences, photobooths and Vox pops, all solidifying that this year’s awards night was a step in a new direction.
