Families and friends flocked to Perth’s favourite close-to-home holiday destination, Wadjemup/Rottnest Island, to celebrate the birthday of the beloved island mascot, the quokka!
Team Known Associates ensured the Island was jam-packed with fun activities, giveaways, and entertainment to engage all walks of life. Activities included Dreamtime storytelling with Aunty Betty, Australian Animal Yoga with Bubble, silent disco, eco glitter bar, giant garden games, and a scavenger hunt.
For those looking for a creative outlet, the craft corner was a perfect way to express yourself with flower crown making, tote bag decorating and rock painting.
Tunes flowed across the island and vibes were high with thanks to a sublime roster of musical talent including Stelly Kelly, Bec Voysey, the Chameleon Brass Band and DJ KP.
The Main stage served as a social hub of engagement from Indigenous dance classes presented by Ngalak Nidja, informative nature talks with Kids Nature Club, and of course, a happy birthday singalong for the special guest of the day, Happy the Quokka!
As the sun began to set over the Island, cupcakes were handed out to the kids (and adults!) and an impressive quokka birthday cake signified the end of a successful day.
