In our ninth year supporting her mission to bring joy and resources to those in need, Known Associates Events proudly brought to life “The Power of Giving”, managing the book launch as Ros’s story was released to the world.
Producing this invitation-only VIP event was a humbling experience for all involved. KAE Director, Tamara Cook, asked all contributors to the event to donate 100%, paying it forward on the premise of the book’s title, just as Ros has done her entire life. The instant outpouring of respect and love for this incredibly deserved woman was moving.
HERE’S WHAT ROS HAD TO SAY ABOUT THE EVENT:
“On Sunday I was thrilled to fulfill a lifelong dream, something many people have suggested I do for numerous years, launching my first book, The Power of Giving – Philanthropy at its best!
The launch event was everything I’d hoped for and more. 200 VIPs, many of whom have touched my life and enriched my journey of giving, arrived to eat, drink and discover the Power of Giving. As people held the book, leafed through its pages and had it signed, the magic was palpable; tears, laughter and a celebration of life for the sake of joy and survival, no matter the challenges faced.
The book was officially launched by Network Seven’s Mark Gibson, a wonderful man and friend. I’m humbled by his words after reading the book which were “Reading this book will make you a better person”.
There’s something special I’d like to share with you about the event itself. When I asked my longtime Event Manager and friend, Tamara Cook of Known Associates Events if she would manage the book launch, she and her team set about ensuring The Power of Giving extended to all those involved in the event. This extraordinary morning was made possible by absolutely every contributor paying it forward, 100% donating their time, product and/or expertise.
From the expert skills of Tamara, Rebecca Grey, Nat Bird, Sebastian Luxa in administration to the myriad suppliers listed below who produced and styled local gourmet food and beverages, and performed for all to enjoy, the contributions rolled in. The beautiful grounds of the heritage listed Cancer Wellness Centre, an initiative of mine which eventually came to life, was the generously donated venue. Against a backdrop of flowers and greenery we listened to the live music of The Awkwardstra, coordinated by the beautiful Alison Mayne.
So please enjoy the images in The Power of Giving National Book Launch album and ensure you support the local businesses and individuals below who opened their hearts and embodied the theme of The Power of Giving, taking it to the next level for the national launch of The Power of Giving, Philanthropy at its best!”
