WA Family Law Pathways Network Conference

Client | WA Family Law Pathways Network

Location | Burswood on Swan, Perth

On National Sorry Day, Known Associates Australia worked closely with the WA Family Law Pathways Network to deliver their Annual Conference. The two-day hybrid event brought together hundreds from the Family Law sector to learn about the history and culture of Aboriginal people, and ultimately improve their service provision to families in need.

Hosted by Ernie Dingo, guests were immersed in keynote speeches, creative workshops by Acacia Cultural Designs and a ‘healing space’ overlooking the Swan River, featuring earthy and cosy styling.

Panellists including Daniel Gibbard, Principal Legal Officer AFLS, and Michelle Sims, Solicitor/ Coordinator Legal Aid, engaged attendees in a live discussion and Q&A session.

Online guests were kept engaged via high-quality production, online polls and comments plus a two-minute dance break every afternoon.

Gather Foods provided morning tea and lunch delights incorporating native Australian ingredients, with damper being a crowd favourite. The event wrapped up with an interactive Smoking Ceremony and Indigenous dance performance against the backdrop of the setting sun.
