This August, the inspiring Team WAALI brought the ‘Because of Her We can’ Luncheon to Crown Perth. The afternoon was filled with celebration and festivities to highlight the achievements, history and culture of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Hosted by Kimba Benjamin and Wentworth’s Shareena Clanton the luncheon included Bachelor game changer, Brooke, and international model Samantha Harris, who strutted her stuff on the runway wearing stunning designs by indigenous label, Kirrikin. Guests were delighted with soulful entertainment by Gina Williams, Superstar Christine Anu as well as the Motown inspired Merindas.
The day beautifully incorporated inspiring speakers, networking opportunities and a scrumptious high tea which blended both unique and traditional cuisine, bringing together community spirit and culture in unison.
